#7 Technology

What is technology?
Almost everything around us has had some form of technology
to either create, design, build or uses it.
Yes we have many forms of technology around us all the time.
The computer hardware and software we use to run our libraries, the photocopiers, fax machines, telephones and obvious techologies.
But what about the books in our libraries? Are they not written on word processors, computer designed graphics for the covers which may include the use of digital photographs, printed on huge machines run by computers, bound, packaged & couriered by other computer run machines.

In our society it is hard to find something that has not been effected by "technology". Plants, I hear you say, well most of those available in the nurseries have been genetically modified to produce stronger, more viable plants. Lots of these developments have used one form of techology or another along the way.
It is very hard to escape techology, so why should we not make the most of what is available. Using technology to help both ourselves & our customers can only benefit us all, from something as simple as searching the catalogue to creating web pages for promotion and everything in between as well as outside these boundaries.
