I have finally worked this one out. (Only took about 7 hours!!!!!!)
It is showing at the bottom of my blog - as I still can't seem to be able to change the page layout of my blog page. (I think I need help from Webgurl.)
Feedster - Very American content & did not search keywords very well. I was looking for Harry Potter podcasts (which I know exist) but came up with some other totally irrelevant feeds instead. So I changed my keyword search to "Australian news" - and found a few. So I thought OK this is would not create a widget for me, so on to the next one.
Technorati - Need yet another login & password, so went on the next one.
Topix.net - This one has good keyword searching & good Australian content, so this is the one I used. See the bottom of my blog for the " news headlines".
